How to use

Exporting a full PNG frame sequence as a zip is a dedicated multi-file workflow.

    Upload your animated GIF and start extraction. The tool walks every frame, writes numbered PNGs (for example frame-0000.png), and packs them into a zip.

    Download the archive, unzip into your NLE or design tool, and work frame-by-frame. For only the first still, use GIF to PNG instead.

How it works

    GIF to Frames decodes the entire GIF, encodes each frame as a separate PNG, and zips the set for download (subject to frame-count limits). That workflow differs from GIF to PNG (first-frame still only) and from GIF to Sprite Sheet (one grid image). Editors import the unzipped sequence as an image sequence; transparency is preserved per frame because PNG supports alpha.
